Vesuvius, VA – The Ultra Race of Champions (UROC) announces the addition of Kaci Lickteig to its Elite Advisory Council. While remaining open to everyone, UROC’s mission is to create the Super Bowl for the sport of ultra-distance running by bringing together the best long distance runners from the US and all over the World, celebrating the inclusive nature of the sport. The role of the Elite Advisory Council is to help UROC be the best championship event possible.

“We are ecstatic to have Kaci’s energy, enthusiasm and expertise as a part of the EAC”, says James Russell Gill III, UROC’s Race Director and CEO of Bad to the Bone Sports. “Kaci’s accomplishments, including her 2016 win at the Western States Endurance Run, speak for themselves. She is very involved in the sport and we look forward to her feedback and ideas.”

About Skylark Nature Preserve and Lodge

Skylark occupies a mile and a half of frontage along the Blue Ridge Parkway in the mountains of the George Washington National Forest. In early years, prior to the Parkway being built in the 1930's, Skylark was a sheep farm. Then in the 1960's, it became a Christmas trees farm, including Fraser firs and thousands of planted pines. In 2010, Craig and Anne Colberg bought Skylark. They continue to operate the tree farm as well as utilize the facilities as a retreat center. Notably the land has been put in a conservation easement, held by the Virginia Outdoors Foundation, to be protected forever in its natural state. The Colberg's have subsequently added additional adjacent land which now totals almost 500 acres. More information can be found at http://www.skylarkva.com/ and http://www.discoverskylark.com/
